Do I need to know what to say?
Not at all. As your therapist we will walk alongside you and we are here to help you feel comfortable. You can show up exactly as you are.
What if I get emotional or cry?
That’s okay actually, it’s welcome. Therapy is a safe space for all emotions. There’s no “right” way to show up.
How often do I come to therapy?
Most clients start with weekly/biweekly sessions to build momentum, safety, and work on building the therauptic relationship. We’ll decide together what feels supportive for you.
What if I’ve had a bad therapy experience before?
You’re not alone. We hold space for those who’ve felt dismissed, misunderstood, or hurt by past therapists. You deserve a different experience.
Is it normal to feel nervous or unsure?
Yes. So many people feel that way at first. That nervousness is often part of the process and it tends to soften with time.
Can I ask questions along the way?
Absolutely. You’re encouraged to ask questions, give feedback, and be part of shaping your therapy experience.
What methods do you use in session?
I use a Person-Centered approach (creates awareness and acceptance) incorporating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), traditional talk therapy, psychoeducation, and collaborative care when needed.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. However, I provide a Good Faith Estimate for therapy costs, and I offer sliding scale options for those in financial need.
